snow brigade.

this is the title of the song i'm listening now. its mew. btw, my fren got me the coldplay album!!=DDDhaha its good of course. yes. i was debating whether to get me mew or coldplay. (hey she gave me the choice ok)and also the coldplay dvd. but in the end..yup. spent one whole morning lying on my bed just listening to it. ahaha..supreme bliss i would say.

whats up? erm...well i'm behind my studies. and dunno how to solve that problem. and i tell u....today i was so worried and stress out. becos
1)I needed my guardian-which is my teacher mentor in this case to sign soemthign really important with a deadline and now beign hold she might or might not be in sch. so i was like worried lah...
2)my dad is in the us now. and needed him to write a letter seekign permission for me to stay out. but smses with its limited space, ididnt specify who to send it to . so he might have sent it to my teacher mentor, which he didnt need to. so me, being paranoid, was worried liek waht if whatif...sigh..
so today mornign my brow was permaenently knitted together...then, God was sooo sooo good ...=D the teacher mentor mentor..(she;s in charge of everythign )was in sch!!!yeah so both my above problems were solveedd!!..(hmmm had a bit of de javu jsut now....rmbr typing that teacher mentor thingy..anywayss)yup...

oh yesterday was quite funny. but lemme ask u something. letsay the ppl in the nxt table got up and left. and after a while u turn and look and there's ten bucks on the seat. do u take it?do u put it in ur pocket or leave in on the table?or worse put in in ur pocket?haha. that happen to me yesterday. it was 3 indo guys that came in. and immediately i knew those were the rich kind of indo expats. haha. and they were pretty cool too i think(cos they had a guitar with them ;))yeah so they left and i saw the ten bucks. i was like,"Grace!!they left ten bucks!1"and she was liek take it, and i was like no!!and she was like why not!!i was like becos thats not right, right?u have to give it to the pihak berkenaan rite?haha. and she was liek fine i'll take it. so, quick as a flash, i reached over and SNITCHED it. i mean not snitch as in stealing lar..ok?then my friend put it on the table. i asked her, "dont u feel like its presence is convicting u?"and she gave this argument that if we dont take it, the waiters will and they will keep it for themselves and a bunch of other groundless reasons.(the waiter argument is quite ok but i cant remember the other crap she gave cos it was so ridiculous.)yeah. and then suddenly one of them came back. i was like, pssst!!G, they came back!instinctively(^^),i took the ten bucks and gave it to the guy. he was like thank u thank u thank u....haha. too bad he didnt ask for my no. JUST KIDDING!!!ok ok...haha. really..haha. yeah. good thing we didnt puti n our pockets if not i'll be too embarrased to take it out to give it back. sigh, but the ten bucks would help for all the times i wasted money..
yup. ok..i'll be back in msia nxt week .

*wry smile*

Today, i was on the bus on my way back. On TV mobile there was this show called the Great unknown or something. it follows this bunch of ppl in diff countries. yeah so the guy that's in Singapore went on this photography course with this agency(?) called objectifs. And just before they showed his segment,(they were showing the other ppl's segments)it came to my stop. but before that it was advertisments. So i was contemplating- no, struggling whether to get down or be rash and crazy to stay on to watch it. Then i decided to get down at Coronation Plaza(thats where i do my groceryshopping, banking and other stuff)i was thinking, oh well i'll jsut go there and withdraw money and see if the optician is open(which was highly unlikely, cos its a sunday). yup. and just as they were starting on his segment, my stop came.ARGH! the world msut be against me. so infuriating. and i so wanted to watch that.I read about objectifs on the internet cos i am quite interested in photography now. Wasted my time. the optician was closed, and i bought soem unhealthy snacks to make my trip worthwhile. and withrew money. but am still kicking myself. sigh, the things i do for what i am fascinated with. tsk tsk.

Music From the Other House

weather:hot hot hot. stuffy.

heheh. the title is a rip off from this show called msuic from the other room. Araaghh!!i can't stand it.
ok let me tell you right from the beginning.
My hostel's back part of my hostels canteen is facing a row of houses. but those houses are all fenced up so u cant eally see anything. yeah so ..i think it was this yr?or mamybe last yr.. anyways in the mornings i walk down the steps that starts from the back part of the cantten to get to the canteen(duh) and sometimes, i hear music. good music. music i like. like coldplay kind. and once i even heard alanis morisette.and it was one of her nicer songs too. i was intrigued.i seriously doubt any of the kitchen helpers had such good taste-ahem. sorry. didnt mean to be "stereotypical".but they're those malay boys.shall not say they're naughty but they are "naughty" looking. so. usually when they blast music in front its those cheesy pop songs.and besides them there's the china cooks. so. the sherlock holmes in me deduced that it has to be the neighbour. oh, how mysterious!haha. really. what if its some cool person who has a cool stereo and probably cool headphones(i have a fetish for big headphones-esp seinhesser)and maybe he/she plays in a band. (of course i would prefer "it" to be a cute he)=)
the music sounds like coldplay- repetitive and malancholic,emo-rock. and later i think it was the dave matthews band.

hey guess what?i'm listening to coldplay's new album now!=Dahem, good belated birthday present it would make.(if u didnt get the hint, well *HINT* *HINT*)haha just joking. then again maybe not. haha. but pls tell me before hand if u, the kind soul would oblige.=Dhaha. really just kdding. thick skin ppl dont deserve what they want. (but to my sis ahem, to blatantly put it, u might be able to get it cheaper there.)

mmm....i love music. u know there's this indo guy who's really talented, like he taught himself the guitar and piano and other stuff. and he listens to frank sinatra, so i'm sure u get hte picture now. i heard he sent a demo tape to berklee, and guess waht?he got in! on scholarship summore!!argh!!i'm putrid greeen with envy. yeah. that got me thiking u noe. I've never really dream big. I've drooled over the berklee brochure. i mean so many bassists togetther and the percussion department!!but i've never ever thought i would come clsoe to getting in. not with the level of playing(cant think of a better word)i am at=( but then, it wouldnt hurt to be a little bit more determined and try to strive towards that dream right? anyways, job prospectives are quite bleak but the experience would be good.ah but plenty of little obstacles that moi would have to be a bit more versatile and courageous to step over. but sigh. i'm quite a pessimist. or realist?
and there's another guy. he's malaysian. he's the music producer kind. ok kind of "found" these two ppl at this ASEAN nite thingy. they were the DJs i guess, adn i was thinking , hey this music is of good taste!(my kind of taste of course;))yeah so i asked around and found out that it was both of them. but i think the music is this malaysian guy's. yeah then at this concert(will talk abt that later) this malaysian guy was kinda in charge of it and i was awed by the "resources" he had.
ok this concert is espoire2. suppose to raise funds for soem interact club members to go to nias. yeah so they got local acts to perform. so glad i went. thougth it would be like school kids forming amateur bands(sorry for being stereotypical again) soem of the bands were good. i bought two cds that day. one i kinda regretted cos i thought they had a bit of emo rock in their music but turns out their the kind that dwelves a little in the dark side, if u get my drift. back to waht i respected abt the msian guy. well, oh!donita rose and her husband her the emcees. yeah, so they were asking trivia questions in between each act. so there was this question, who collaborated with the NERD on their track....there was a long silence so i guess not many ppl knew. i admit that i didnt know the answer but i remember reading it somewhre ok...and i think nerd is veryvery good. yeah so he went up and got the answer right.so...and also i heard he's the person in charge of the whole thing. so, he must be very "knowledgeable" to have the contacts for all these acts. Many of them are quite popular in the local scene.
maybe u might think i'm quite katak di bawah tempurung, but aih allow me to continue in this ignorant bliss...^^

aigh. have history test tmr. can u believe it?during hols?sigh and i've only reached one third of the textbk. gtg. =p

slag

dunno what that means but it seems to describe me now. just woke up...(well actually an hour ago)but still feel woozy. hmm...things aren't looking up yet- it won't till after the "O"s . sigh. have bio prac tommorrow but i shall risk the wrath of my teacher by not studying as hard as i should. not like i can at this time.
Singapore Arts festival is here. yay. haha. actually i'm quite psyched about it. but costly man. argh. i won't be here for a lot of percussion stuff.. and it looks cool . there's a pic of a guy doing some sort of breakdance while playing. there's this group from malaysia called hand's percussion team. they'll be playing chinese drums. Last time i thought chinese drums were so lion dancey kinda thing but guess what?its actually quite cool. i have a video of some sort but i duuno how to post it. how?
yeah. sigh most of the stuff that is free and that i really waant to watch is only on after i return to msia. so "sui"..sniff sniff.
on holiday now but it is full of extra classes. and must study. ergh. =D
